Today we have a change of plans for font. We are changing it to large so you readers could get funner and better reading. Just want to ensure that you guys like reading our blog cuz we don't wanna rate as the most boring blog right? Yeah sorry if that sounded a little stuck up.
I have an iPhone 5. I know, I know.
People here have mostly iPhone 4Ss.
But a good number have iPhone 5s.
People are freaked out about iPhone 5s here in Malibu.
When you have an iPhone 5 in our middle school, you're an instant celebrity.
Not that my popularity has risen though.
My popularity is already too high.
I don't really care about popularity, but it's just that, once you're a big popularity celebrity throughout the whole school, you just can't ignore it.
People try to bug you all the time. They want to see you, talk to you, hear you talk to them, all that stuff. They want to see your iPhone and use it. If you don't let them, the popular people will remind you that you won't be popular anymore because the only reason you were popular was because of your iPhone. Unless you were already popular. So I'm safe.
But of course, they try to steal it too.
Dalia's iPhone went missing.
If you live in Malibu, have you seen it? It's white with a case that has a big giant purple heart on it with a pink background and it's glittery and it says Dalia on it.
If you have, check the back of it. Pull of the case and check the back. If it has Danielle on it, then that's the one we're looking for.
Yesterday at the sleepover we watched a movie in that little home theater I have. You know those theaters in homes that are like theaters but smaller? Yeah those kinds.
I forgot which movies we saw, the only movie I remember is Monsters v.s. Aliens and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
After when it was time to "sleep," we played on our iPhones and played on my Xbox and Wii.
It was really fun. Lexi even had snacks.
Then we played board games in the dark and then we climbed into our sleeping bags and played Would You Rather? and the last girl to fall asleep wins. Helen won.
Then the next day (which is today) Dalia told me and Helen that her iPhone was missing.
Scene: In front of our classrooms. We're way too early, so we have an hour to chat. Dalia comes up to me and Helen, Lexi listens nearby. Fiona is multitasking, playing on her iPhone and getting stuff out of her locker.
Dalia: Guys, have you seen my iPhone?
Me and Helen: No. It's gone?!
Dalia: Yes!!
Me: Omg someone must've stolen it where did you leave it?
Helen: That's horrible! It's was an iPhone 5 right? Oh no.
Dalia: When I was going to school I put my iPhone in my backpack and when I was at my locker, I realized it was missing.
Lexi: You were in your own car, right?
Dalia: Yes.
Lexi whispers to Helen: She wants me to call her Dalia, not Danielle, right?
Helen: Yes.
Lexi: Ok, so, Dalia, is there any possible way you can think of that your iPhone went missing?
Dalia: No.....
Helen: Did you feel any tugs on your backpack or something.
Dalia: *gasps* Yes I did I should've turned around or something should've found out who it was I thought it was natural or it was my books or something I'm so stupid....
Me: Calm down! We'll help you find it.
(We search and search the whole school, Fiona helps at the forty five minute mark, the bell rings, we search at recess, the bell rings, we search at lunch, it's nowhere to be found.)
Dalia: What am I going to do?! My mom's going to kill me that thing's so expensive!
Fiona: That's ok. We can just tell the principal.
Dalia: No it's not ok I felt the tug outside of school my mom could only drop me off there a stranger walked past me and I felt the tug and now can't find that stranger forever again.
(I had just recently watched a Dora Explorer Girls show with my little sister because I was forced to and it was all about tickets to a concert lost and they tracked it down again. Now I wonder how Dora could track this iPhone down now. The lesson was that you can do things if you try and stuff because it was tracking down tickets but really that would never happen in real life seriously we don't have a city underground and we can't chase a bird with a balloon float and we can't dance and sing all around and try to act happy trying to find Danielle's iPhone.)
Helen: I feel so sorry for you.
Lexi: I just want to buy another one for you but I can't because my parents would probably get mad and stuff just because we're buying something so valuable and just giving it away to someone else. You know how greedy and stubborn they are.
(This is true, but they're not as bad as they sound.)
Me: Look, my dad is friends with a policeman and he can host a search for you iPhone.
Dalia: What if the guy has moved somewhere else far away?
Me: You only lost it today.
Dalia: What if he got his tickets the day or week after or something.
(Wow she's logical.)
Me: You can go to the airport with the police and the airport has photos of everyone who's went on the planes and you can identify which person it was and they'll track him down.
Lexi: Whoa, you're smart.
(Thanks, anonymous for the woah and whoa thingy.)
Me: Thanks.
Dalia: Sure I can do that.
Right now my dad is arranging the search. Apparently there are too many cases right now so they'll have to call it off for now.
Oh well.
Now thanks to Danielle's lost iPhone I have something else trying to stress my mind now.
Hope she finds it soon!
